The simplest investment you'll ever make
Assalaamu’alaykum,
Ramadan Mubarak my dear readers. I pray you have had a blessed entry into this blessed month.
There were brothers and sisters who were with us last Ramadan, who fasted beside us, prayed beside us, made duaa beside us… and they are no longer here.
So the very fact that Allah has allowed you to reach this day, to witness this Ramadan is worthy of a few moments of shukr, an intentional pause to acknowledge this immense mercy from Him.
I invite you to pause again, just for a moment and take in the reality that we are living inside a vast, divine echo chamber, where every sincere intention, every duaa and every small act of goodness has the potential to reverberate and grow in ways you could never fully imagine.
Take a moment to internalise the multitude of doors that now stand open before you, doors to cleanse, to elevate and to secure what is best not only in this life but in the next as well.
I was just reminded of this hadith and it genuinely blew my mind to think about what a loss it would be if I heard this and didn’t act on it immediately.
So of course, I wanted to share it with my lovely readers, so you can benefit too.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Whoever recites: Qul huwa Allahu Ahad ten times, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”
It was narrated by Ahmad ibn Hanbal in Musnad Ahmad.
Now imagine the amplification of that in this blessed month. If ten recitations build a house for you in Jannah…what does that look like when deeds are multiplied?
Think of the palaces waiting for you in the akhirah, InshaAllah.
Structures of light and beauty, made instantly for you while you sit here reciting a short surah most of you have known since childhood.
SubhanAllah!
If you’d like something practical, here’s my little “Jannah greedy” method to secure at least two palaces a day:
1. Recite 3 x Surah Ikhlas in your morning adhkar, and 3 x in your evening adhkar.
2. Recite 3 x Surah Ikhlas after each salah.
3. Pro tip: After giving salams, recite Ayatul Kursi and then your 3 x Ikhlas.
You’re tending to your akhirah before you even stand up from your prayer mat.
Imagine building a palace in this dunya, with all the planning, the architects, the paperwork, the permissions, the endless decisions, the builders, the delays and the sheer expense involved and then compare that to what it takes for you to build your palace in the akhirah...a palace unlike anything you've ever seen!
And all that is required from you is to recite Surah Ikhlas ten times; indeed, Allah is the Most Kind, the Most Generous and the Most Merciful.
Don’t let a single precious second pass before you begin implementing this into your day, InshaAllah :)

May our tongues remain moist with Qur’an and dhikr, may our hearts be filled with the awareness and presence of Allah and may our limbs be busy in deeds that draw us closer to Him. Ameen Ya Rabb

Reflection of the Week
What intention do you want to carry into this Ramadan that moves you beyond the mechanical, physical acts of doing and truly enters and transforms your heart before Allah?
Dua of the Week
يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
Yā Muqallibal-qulūb, thabbit qalbī ‘alā dīnik.
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.
(Sunan al-Tirmidhi)
Allah's name of the Week
Al-Ghaffar (The Constant Forgiver)
Ya Al-Ghaffar, You forgive again and again, no matter how often we return with shortcomings. Forgive us for what we have done knowingly and unknowingly. Cover our faults, cleanse our records and allow this Ramadan to be the month where our sins are replaced with mercy and our regret is replaced with closeness to You.
