It won't miss you. I promise.
Assalaamu’alaykum,
Something has been replaying in my mind recently… so naturally, I wanted to share it with you today :)
What is written for you will never miss you.
Let that reality sit with you for a moment.
It doesn't matter how many doors closed. It doesn't matter how many times the timing felt off, how many plans fell apart or how many people told you it wasn't going to happen. If it's been written for you... it's coming. It has no choice.
It will find its way to you through the detours, through the delays, through every single road that seemed like a dead end.
You cannot outrun your rizq. SubhanaAllah!
You cannot accidentally miss your blessing.
And to hold on to this haqq (truth), what needs to enter your heart is sabr.
Sabr (patience) isn't just about gritting your teeth and waiting for life to get easier. It's an act of profound trust. It's choosing, every single day, to believe that what Allah has written for you is already on its way and that the timing is not yours to control...it's His.
Allah says in the Quran:
"And give good tidings to the patient — who, when disaster strikes them, say: Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return." (2:155-157)
Glad tidings. Not just comfort... glad tidings. That's a promise of something beautiful waiting on the other side of this waiting.
And then He reminds us:
“Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” (2:153)
With. Not watching from a distance. Not just observing. With you. Right there in the thick of the wait, in the uncertainty, with you in sujood, in the 3am thoughts and the tired prayers. He is with the patient.
So if you're waiting for something right now... a job, a marriage, a healing, an answer, a breakthrough... please hear me when I say this: the directive is clear. Hold on to sabr with every single fibre of your being.
Here are three ways to help you do this:
1. Anchor yourself in what is certain, not what is unknown
When we're waiting, our minds rush to fill the silence with worst-case scenarios. Instead, return again and again to what you know for certain: Allah's promise does not expire. His timing is not delay, it's precision. When you feel the anxiety creeping in, redirect your thoughts to what is already true. He has never abandoned someone who trusted Him. Not once.
2. Protect your peace by guarding what you consume.
Nothing erodes sabr faster than constantly comparing your chapter to someone else's highlight reel. Be intentional about what you scroll through, who you talk to about your waiting and how much mental energy you give to timelines that were never yours to control. Protect your inner world. Your peace is not a luxury, it's a prerequisite for showing up with faith.
3. Make the wait mean something.
The waiting period is not wasted time. It's preparation time. Use it. Deepen your relationship with Allah. Learn. Grow. Become the version of yourself who is ready to receive what you've been asking for. Often, when we look back, we realise the delay was mercy...we weren't ready yet and Allah, in His wisdom, knew that.
Dear soul, I don't know exactly what you're waiting for. But I know that if you're reading this and it resonates, perhaps you needed this reminder today.
Your blessing has not forgotten you and your story is not over. The detours are part of the route.
Hold on. Keep going. It's written.
If this touched your heart today, pass it on. Someone in your life is waiting for something right now and they need to hear this too. Feel free to forward this to them, it could be exactly what they need to keep going, InshaAllah!

Reflection of the Week
Think of something you have been waiting on for a long time. Something you've made du'aa for, cried over and perhaps almost given up on.
Now ask yourself honestly: have I been waiting with trust or waiting with fear? There is a difference. One keeps you holding on to the rope of faith. The other pulls you away.
Sit with that this week. Let it move you back toward tawakkul.
Dua of the Week
رَبَّنَا أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا
Rabbana afrigh 'alayna sabran wa thabbit aqdamana
Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet.
(2:250)
Allah's name of the Week
Al-Wakeel الوكيل
The Trustee. The One in Whom all affairs are entrusted.
Ya Al-Wakeel, we hand You what we cannot carry. The timelines we cannot control, the outcomes we cannot see, the doors we are still waiting on. You are the best of those entrusted with our affairs. Suffice us, steady us and let our hearts find rest in knowing that what is written for us is safe in Your hands. You have never failed those who placed their trust in You and we ask You not to let us be among those who stop trusting before the answer arrives. Aameen, ya rabbal aalameen.
